In the Fall of 2006 ICEF launched a new middle school employing the same educational model presently bringing success to underserved students in the Crenshaw district of South Los Angeles.
Mrs. Karen Anderson serves as the first Director of Frederick Douglass Academy Charter Middle School. Karen brings years of educational experience along with a longstanding commitment to South Los Angeles to her new position.
Frederick Douglass Academy Charter School will operate by applying the same rigorous college-prep curriculum, high expectations, and mandated parent involvement that made View Park Prep’s 96% African American student population the highest performing in South Los Angeles at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
